"Before you've practiced, the theory is useless. After you've practiced, the theory is obvious."
Today I gave a beginner yogi some advice...
Let go of all your worries and cares in your own yoga practice. Release your ego and embrace your body and breath in each moment. Float from yoga pose to pose effortlessly and let your breath carry you as you meld into the moment seeking samadhi. Feel your muscles wrap around your bones and release while remaining strong. Visualize the toxins squeezing and releasing from the deepest crevices of your body. Let go and let be.
You should do what feels right for your body. Don't bounce into poses like Triangle (Trikonasana) or force your head to the floor in Wide-Legged Forward Bend (Prasarita Padottanasana). There is no perfect yoga pose...but there is the perfect pose for you in that moment. You may have good yoga days and you may have bad yoga days. My advice to you is to just accept your body for what it can do...let go, let be and release....
